Jaqueline 'Jackie' (Vandegrift) Donovan

   Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Donovan, 80, of Columbia, died Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Sun Valley Assisted Living in Westminster.

   Born May 14, 1945, in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Harvey and Bernice Vandegrift. She was preceded by her beloved husband of 56 years, Paul who died in October 2024.

   Jackie worked for more than 30 years as a computer programmer for the Social Security Administration.

    She is survived by son Matthew, his wife Christy, grandsons Brady, Logan, and Ryan of Virginia Beach, daughter Andrea Souder and her husband Todd, grandson Tate and granddaughter Ashlyn of Sykesville. Her brother Pierce (Dutch) Vandegrift his wife Mary, and nieces Lauren Chandaver and Kari Vandegrift of Columbia.

   Funeral services will be held at Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church, 12101 Linden-Linthicum Lane, Clarksville, MD 21029 at 10:00 am on Friday, February 20th with the Reverand Ian Collier. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland.

   In lieu of flowers, donations to Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church would be welcome.
