Massimo Gabrielle Fuggitti, 79, of Leisure World Silver Spring, MD entered God’s eternal care Friday February 20, 2026 at the Gilchrist Center of Towson.
Born February 15, 1947 in Rome, Italy. He was the son of the late Flavio & Arduina (Constante) Fuggitti.
He was the loving husband of the late Renee (Strauss) Fuggitti until her passing October 24, 1980.
Massimo was a decorated designer in the clothing industry. He began his career at Lebow Brothers, Baltimore in 1963 when he studied cutting and making patterns under his Zio (uncle) Joe. Over his almost 50yr career he most notably worked for Frank Borenstein & Sons, Taneytown, MD. Hart Shaffner Marx, Chicago, IL. J Schoeneman, Owings Mills, MD. Liz Claiborne, NY. Lord West, NY. St John Knits, CA.
Massimo had many interests and spent his time doing the things he loved with friends and family. He was a lifelong Lazio fan. He was an avid cyclist, tennis & pickleball player. He loved to play bocce. He also enjoyed gardening. Most of all, Massimo cherished his family.
Massimo is survived by his son Michael Fuggitti of Forest Hill, MD and Michael’s son Antonio Fuggitti. He is also survived by son Marco Fuggitti, and his wife Laura. and their daughters Gianna & Liliana.
He also leaves behind his sister Maria Farrow of Westminster, MD. Nephew Eric Farrow, his wife Lynne and children Owen, Brooks, & Will of Towson, MD. Niece Christina Talbot, her husband Brian and children Nico & Max. As well as many loving family members.
Prayer services will be held at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD 11:00am on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. Friends & Family are welcome to call Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home as well as one hour before the service at the funeral home.
